The Leukomed Sorbact Sterile 8cm x 10cm (20 Pack) is a sterile wound dressing intended for the management of clean, contaminated, colonised, or infected dry to low-exuding wounds. Measuring 8cm x 10cm and supplied in a pack of 20, this dressing is well suited for postoperative and traumatic wounds including surgical incisions, lacerations, cuts, abrasions, dehisced wounds, and minor burns. Leukomed Sorbact features a unique coating with a hydrophobic fatty ester which binds bacteria and fungi, removing them with each dressing change. The transparent film provides a waterproof bacterial barrier when full skin contact is achieved. With a low allergy risk in accordance with ISO 10993, this dressing is designed for comfortable, reliable use. Leukomed Sorbact is delivered sterile, ensuring product integrity for clinical and home care settings. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

  • Bacteria & fungi-binding: Coated with a hydrophobic fatty ester that binds microorganisms, which are removed with each dressing change.
  • Low allergy risk: Designed in accordance with ISO 10993 for sensitive skin compatibility.
  • Sterile delivery: Each dressing is supplied sterile for safe application.
  • Waterproof bacterial barrier: Transparent film provides a barrier when full skin contact is achieved.
  • Manages dry to low-exuding wounds: Suitable for surgical incisions, lacerations, cuts, abrasions, dehisced wounds, and minor burns.

Directions

Step 1. Hold the wound dressing at the blue handling tape. Remove the top layer of the first release liner (labelled no. 1).

Step 2. Hold the blue handling tape with the adhesive facing towards the wound or device and apply half of the transparent dressing accurately over the desired location. Remove the second layer of release liner (also labelled no. 1).

Step 3. Carefully press the transparent film onto the skin, especially around the edges. Full skin contact ensures that the dressing is waterproof and a bacterial barrier.

Step 4. Remove the top application film by lifting the edge of the blue handling tape (labelled no. 2) and carefully peeling off this top layer.

Removal: To remove the dressing, pull off the film evenly using one of the edges.
