Nicotinell 4mg Extra Strength Peppermint Lozenges are a nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) stop smoking aid, designed for adults who want to quit smoking within a few months. Each lozenge contains 4mg of nicotine (as nicotine polacrilex) in a refreshing peppermint flavour, making them suitable for smokers who have their first cigarette of the day within 30 minutes of waking up. Nicotinell Lozenges work by slowly releasing nicotine, which is absorbed through the lining of the mouth, helping to reduce the urge to smoke and ease some withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, anxiety, restlessness and difficulty concentrating. Unlike cigarettes, these lozenges do not contain the tar, carbon monoxide or other toxins found in cigarette smoke. The 72-pack format provides a generous supply to support your quit journey, which typically follows a 12-week stepped schedule with gradual reduction over time. For best results, Nicotinell Lozenges should be used together with a stop smoking behavioural support programme, and every effort should be made to stop smoking completely during treatment. • Extra strength 4mg lozenges suitable for smokers who have their first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up.
• Peppermint flavour lozenges that dissolve slowly in the mouth over approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
• Stepped dosing schedule: weeks 1 to 6, one lozenge every 1 to 2 hours; weeks 7 to 9, one every 2 to 4 hours; weeks 10 to 12, one every 4 to 8 hours. Minimum of nine lozenges per day during weeks 1 to 6.
• Maximum 15 lozenges per day; do not use more than one lozenge at a time. Do not suck, chew or swallow whole.
• Do not use if you are a non-smoker, an occasional smoker, under 12 years of age, have phenylketonuria, or are allergic to nicotine or any listed ingredients.
